Modular Multi Engine (ME)
For holders of a PPL(A) or CPL(A) with a SE (Single-Engine) rating and experience of at least 70 hours PIC (Pilot In Command), BAFA offers a modular flight training course to obtain the multi-engine aircraft MEP (Multi Engine) rating.
This course comprises both a theoretical and a practical module and consists of a visual flight rules (VFR) module, and for holders of an IR, an instrument flight rules (IFR) module.
The MEP theory course comprises 8 course hours, supplemented by a number of CBT (Computer Based Training) hours, depending on the individual requirements of the trainee. This covers the knowledge required to efficiently undertake practical training.
The course is held in our classrooms at Antwerp Airport.
The practical training is at least 6 hours for the VFR part and at least 5 hours for extra IFR training for holders of a SE/IFR rating. For the IFR part, an FNPT II flight simulator is used outside the aircraft.
The duration of this practical training can be adjusted to match the requirements of each trainee.
