BAFA - Professional training for Professional Pilots

Where training as an Airline Transport Pilot (ATPL) or Private Pilot (PPL) is concerned, BAFA always strives for maximum professionalism. This professionalism is reflected on both the high level of competence of the training team and the quality of the training material and documentation used.

By offering these different training possibilities, BAFA can meet the individual needs of trainees.

Accordingly, the Airline Transport Pilot course can be followed in an integrated form as a modular course, or by evening and day training depending on the choice of the trainee and his/her history. Throughout the integrated training, candidate pilots who have not yet gained any flying experience are provided with continuous training from scratch to obtaining their license.

Modular training is reserved for the holders of at least a Private Pilot's license (PPL). All additional licenses and ratings are then obtained by following a number of additional modules. Trainees opting for modular training may complete the theory training by Distance Learning. Distance Learning is offered for both the ATPL and PPL.

In its training, BAFA aims to form “Professionals”, people who are not only able to fly an aircraft competently, but who also have the right attitude as expected by airline companies, with respect for procedures, the aircraft and colleagues and staff.

Training in flight

BAFA's flight operations take place from Antwerp International Airport (EBAW) Ostend Airport (EBOS) and Limburg Regional Airport (EBST). It has an excellent infrastructure and is suitable for both basic and advanced training. The different instrument approach procedures, the air space and traffic control create the opportunity to train future professional pilots from day one in an environment similar to the one they will meet in their later careers.
