Virtual Pilot School

Virtual Pilot School (Distance Learning Platform)

With “Virtual Pilot School”, BAFA offers students the opportunity to take the theoretical part of the Private Pilot (PPL) course via the Internet at their own pace, using the BAFA PPL theory books. This way, they can take the course where and when they want, an advantage that has already been appreciated by many of our trainees.

The Virtual Pilot School covers all the theory subject matter from the Private Pilot (PPL) course that meets the requirements of the international JAR-FCL regulations.

This course can be used as a preparation for the PPL theory examination, as a preparatory course for candidate Airline Transport Pilots or merely out of interest in aviation.

This interactive Internet course is unique in its kind. An Internet connection keeps the students in contact with a homologated BAFA instructor (teletutor), who follows the students’ progress and can answer any questions online or offline. Students also have online access to a PPL question database with some 2,500 exercise questions.

The course can also be taken offline using a CD-ROM and the BAFA course books as self-tuition, and is completed with three lesson sessions each lasting 8 hours in a classroom-context.

These sessions take place in our classrooms at Antwerp Airport. The lessons are held on three weekend days.

The examinations are taken at exam sessions organised by the \"Bestuur der Luchtvaart\" (Belgian aviation authority) in its rooms in Brussels.
