Question: Do you need to be an engineer to start the pilot training?
Answer: No
You need to know a few basic mathematical and physics concepts. These concepts are taught in almost every study option during the secondary ecucation. We at BAFA put together a special refresher course which takes a week and is organised several times over the Summer before the start of the daytime course. For students taking evening classes these refresher items are implemented during the training.
Question: I have a higher degree in Art studies, does this mean i'm less suitable for this training.
Answer: No
Some of the most famous pilots in the Benelux do not have a prior training in technical or scientific programs. One of our students who graduated last year was even a fully qualified opera singer. During an entrance test we check your general knowledge gained over the last few years. By means of these results we determine wether you are a good candidate for this training or not, what your chances of succeeding are and last but not least, what would be a good way for you to prepare for this training.
